Over 300 people gathered in perfect running conditions on
Sunday 26 June to take part in the fourth annual ISEH 5K and 10K run in
London's beautiful Regent's Park. New for 2016 was an additional event,
the ISEH 2.5K for those new to running or simply wishing to walk.
We
were delighted to have Olympic marathon runner Mara Yamauchi in
attendance who warmed up the competitors before officially starting the
race as well as congratulating the runners as they finished.
The
run was a licensed chip timed event and attracted both competitive
runners and people who wanted to use the race to test their exercise
regimes and become more active something which we are passionate about
here at the ISEH.
Runners
were supported around the course by enthusiastic marshals and at the
end of the race were greeted with a smiley face, a medal and some lovely
refreshments.
There
were prizes for the first three finishers (male and female) in the both
the 5K and 10K races as well as age group categories winners in the
10K.
Congratulations
to Steven McNicholas and Catriona Paterson who came 1st (male and
female) in the 10K and each won a free CPEX fitness test at the ISEH and
to Oliver Haddad and Rebecca Robinson who came 1st (male and female) in
the 5K.
