Kat Evans, teacher and Premiership women rugby player for Saracens suffered a complicated leg break back in 2012 whilst playing rugby. Kat was at her peak performance when the injury happened and subsequently missed a huge part of her rugby career, including 3 premiership finals in a row to name just a few.

"ISEH consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon Sam Oussedik and his team treated me for a number of years helping to treat the injury and get me back on the pitch, there were a number of times when I just thought I would never make it back on to the pitch however, after my forth operation the dream began to seem real again.

The treatment received at the ISEH was excellent and I have to thank them all for their hard work in helping me to return to the sport I am so passionate about. They helped me to ensure that I was ready for rugby not just my leg but my whole body having had such a long time out. The facilities, rapid treatment times and motivation also ensured I returned fitter, faster and stronger than before.

Since my return in April 2016 I captained the Saracens 7's team in winning the women's Premiership 7's and look forward to an even more successful 15's season."
