This month the ISEH is welcoming 30 new students on the UCL MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health. Hosted by the ISEH, the MSc focuses on sports injuries and their prevention and treatment, as well as the vital role of exercise in maintaining good health and preventing chronic disease.

The course is designed to open doors in the world of sports and exercise medicine, and to lead to careers including elite and general sports medicine, treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, and exercise medicine. Previous graduates of the Msc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health include Terassa Taylor-Kaveney who now works at the ISEH as a physiotherapist .

The MSc is awarded by the ISEH's partner organisation UCL. UCL is one of the world's best universities, currently ranked 4th in the QS World University Rankings. The Division of Surgery & Interventional Science, within which the degree is based, is part of one of the most prestigious medical schools in Europe.

The Programme Directors are the ISEH's Prof Fares Haddad and Mr Peter Hamlyn; the course leaders are ISEH based sports medicine consultants Dr Courtney Kipps and Dr Eleanor Tillett

While on the course, as well as attending lectures at the ISEH, students will also attend specialist clinics and have the opportunity to visit sports teams and events. The ISEH will be working closely with UCL to deliver the course, which will utilise the state-of-art teaching, clinical and exercise-testing facilities at the institute and benefit from its position as a hub of leading-edge research and clinical practice in sports medicine.
