On the 18 November Move Eat Treat held their annual summit in partnership with the ISEH called ‘‘Improving Education for Healthcare Professionals’.

The day was introduced by Dr Joseph Lightfoot founder and director of Move Eat Treat followed by the charismatic and passionate Dr Mike Loosemore who delivered ‘the case of healthier living’.

The day had a number of presentations ranging from ‘Exercise is medicine’, ‘the role of positive psychology’, ‘you can’t out run a bad diet’ coupled with panel discussions.

It was also excellent to see Public Health England’s Dr Justin Varney not only contributing to the panel discussions but also delivering ‘Theory to practice – how to help patients make healthier choices in everyday life’.

Move Eat Treat is providing education for healthcare professionals, as well as working to change undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
