At the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH), we have developed an independent performance reconditioning assessment that includes a comprehensive, evidence-based battery of tests for athletes following injury to identify physical, biomechanical and psychological deficits that will inform clinicians and help guide rehabilitation.
Objective data are captured including a range of metrics to assist in generating a report to identify current performance levels, with consideration of normative data according to age, gender, sport and stage of rehabilitation. This gives clinicians further insight into the stage of recovery compared with similar populations. Rehabilitation programs can then be tailored to the individual, improving the chance of a successful return to sport and reducing the risk of secondary injury.
There are pathways in place for analysis of both upper and lower limb injuries as well as a specialist pathway for Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury through to return to sport. Please click on the links below for further details.
