Breathing to win! ISEH workshop

Join us for our next all-day Breathing to Win ISEH practical workshop, designed for clinicians seeking to enhance their abilities in assessing, managing, and optimising breathing performance in athletes. This ISEH Learning workshop will delve into the differential diagnosis of Asthma, BPD, and Exercise-Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (EILO). Participants will gain valuable insights on recognising, assessing, and effectively managing breathing issues in athletes.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop learners will be able to:

1) Learn how to recognise dysfunctional breathing (DB) /maladaptive breathing patterns and to assess this issue in the context of other diagnoses such as asthma.

2) To be familiar with the typical symptoms of DB & Exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO).

3) Gain confidence in recognising DB & Exercise Induced Laryngeal Obstruction.

4) To help an athlete understand what optimal breathing is and how it can improve performance and recovery

5) To maintain and keep the athlete engaged in their breathing rehabilitation.

6) Gain an understanding of laryngeal function and how to prevent EILO.
